Slack Connect approvals

Review current slack connect approvals behavior, availability, limits, and operating details for Slash Social.

What it includes

Slack Connect approvals deliver client review into shared Slack channels. Scoped preview items appear in an approval thread where external reviewers can approve, request changes, or reject without seeing internal production notes. Admins, creators, and approvers manage clients and packs from the Engage work center.

How to use it

Plan access: Slack Connect delivery is not available in the current public plan catalog. External approval packs without shared-channel delivery start on Team.

Where to find it:

  1. Open /social and search for clients to open the clients dashboard.
  2. Choose Slack Connect, enter the client name and email, and choose channel visibility.
  3. Slash Social creates the dedicated approval channel and sends the Connect invite. If Slack policy blocks the automatic invite, resend it from Clients or invite the client from the channel’s integrations menu.
  4. After the client accepts, send packs from Workflow when internal review is ready for external sign-off.

Actions and results:

Action Result
Add client Store contact and channel context for the brand
Send pack Deliver scoped preview items to the shared channel
Approve / Request changes / Reject Client actions update pack status in the dashboard
Remind Nudge pending reviewers when a pack is still open
Resubmit Start another client cycle after internal edits

What clients see: Packs show only the items and context configured for client review. Internal production notes stay outside the shared channel. The approval thread surface carries the review actions clients use in the shared channel.

How to confirm delivery: The client sees the approval message in the generated shared channel with working action buttons. Pack status in the clients dashboard matches what the client received.
