PortalSix respects intellectual property rights. This policy explains how to report material available through Slash Social that you believe infringes copyright, how an affected user may submit a counter-notice, and how PortalSix handles repeat infringement.
This procedure is intended for copyright claims under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act, including 17 U.S.C. § 512. It does not replace legal advice, court process, or procedures for trademark, privacy, defamation, contract, or other disputes.
Designated copyright agent
Send copyright notices and counter-notices to Designated Copyright Agent, PortalSix, LLC, Attn: Designated Copyright Agent, 306 W Redwood St, Suite 201, Baltimore, MD 21201, USA. Email: support@slashsocial.app. Telephone: +1 667-302-3285.
Email is the fastest submission method. The telephone number is provided for contact information and does not by itself constitute a complete notice or counter-notice. Do not send passwords, private keys, payment-card data, or unrelated sensitive information.
Copyright notice requirements
A copyright infringement notice must include: (1) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner; (2) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if one notice covers multiple works at one online site; (3) identification of the infringing material or material that is the subject of infringing activity, with information reasonably sufficient for PortalSix to locate it; and (4) your contact information, including address, telephone number, and, if available, email address.
The notice must also include: (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or law; and (6) a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of an exclusive right allegedly infringed.
Please identify the relevant Slash Social organization, workspace, account, content item, URL, message, file, or other location information when known. Incomplete notices may delay our ability to locate or evaluate the material.
What happens after a notice
PortalSix reviews notices in good faith and may request clarification or supporting information. When appropriate, PortalSix may remove or disable access to identified material, preserve relevant evidence, notify the affected customer or user, limit a workflow, or suspend an account while the matter is reviewed.
PortalSix may send a copy of the notice, including the claimant's contact information and allegations, to the person or organization responsible for the material. PortalSix does not decide copyright ownership disputes that require a court to resolve.
Counter-notice and restoration
If material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification, the affected user may send the designated agent a counter-notice containing: (1) the user's physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the material removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal or disabling; and (3) a statement under penalty of perjury that the user has a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
The counter-notice must also provide the user's name, address, and telephone number, and state that the user consents to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district containing the user's address, or, if the address is outside the United States, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person's agent.
PortalSix may forward a complete counter-notice to the original claimant. Unless the claimant informs PortalSix that it filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the affected user from engaging in infringing activity, PortalSix may restore the material or access to it 10 to 14 business days after forwarding the counter-notice, or later at PortalSix's discretion where permitted by law.
Repeat-infringer policy
PortalSix has adopted and reasonably implements a policy providing for termination, in appropriate circumstances, of users or accounts that are repeat infringers. PortalSix may also suspend accounts, restrict features, remove or disable material, or require corrective action where appropriate.
A repeat-infringer decision is based on the circumstances and available evidence, including valid notices, counter-notices, retractions, court outcomes, account relationships, and patterns of conduct. An authorized human reviews termination decisions; a raw notice count does not require automatic termination.
Misrepresentation
Knowingly and materially misrepresenting that material or activity is infringing, or that removed or disabled material resulted from mistake or misidentification, may create liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Submit only accurate, good-faith notices and counter-notices.
Other rights and processes
Use the support form for non-copyright intellectual-property questions or other disputes. PortalSix may respond to valid subpoenas, court orders, and other lawful process independently of this policy.
Use of Slash Social is also governed by the Terms of Service, including its acceptable-use and repeat-infringer provisions. Nothing in this policy limits rights or defenses available under applicable law.
Records, privacy, and policy updates
PortalSix may retain notices, counter-notices, correspondence, decisions, enforcement records, and related evidence as reasonably necessary to operate this process, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, comply with law, and enforce the Terms. Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy.
PortalSix may update this policy as law, product behavior, or operational practices change. The current version and effective date appear on this page, and material changes will be communicated when required by law or contract.
