Smart DM capture suggestions

Review current smart dm capture suggestions behavior, availability, limits, and operating details for Slash Social.

After you DM Slash Social raw content, get a suggested next step such as draft, save, repurpose, or add to knowledge.

Plan access

Requires the Starter plan or higher.

Where to find it

  1. Open a direct message with Slash Social.
  2. Send a URL, file, thread link, canvas link, or detailed text note.
  3. Wait for the intake card. When your plan includes smart suggestions, the card updates with a highlighted recommended action.

If your plan does not include this feature, the intake card still appears with standard action buttons but without AI-ranked suggestions.

What it does

Slash Social reads the signal you sent (link type, attachments, thread context, canvas context, voice state, or note length) and ranks likely destinations:

  • Import and repurpose for article URLs
  • Save to media library or ideas for files and voice
  • Draft from thread or text
  • Sync canvas to brand knowledge

Suggestions refresh on the same card without sending a second message. They respect your active brand when multiple brands exist.

When confidence is low, the card does not highlight a recommendation. The standard destination buttons remain available, so classification failure, malformed AI output, or provider downtime never blocks manual capture.

Limits

Classification uses your organization’s AI generation quota. When quota is exhausted, the card shows that suggestions are paused until the limit resets.

Verify

The intake card shows a suggested action label that matches what you sent. Choosing that action opens the expected create, idea, or knowledge flow.

Usage note

Use this page as a lookup when a workflow, plan comparison, or troubleshooting guide mentions Smart DM capture suggestions. Confirm the active brand, connected account, and workspace plan before promising the capability to a customer. If the article marks the feature as not launch-ready or hidden, treat it as operator context and do not describe it as available in customer onboarding.

When the page lists plan availability, compare it with Plan comparison and Usage limits rather than old sales names. When availability is not stated, avoid inventing a plan gate; verify access in Billing & Plan from Settings. Capture the workspace, brand, feature name, and blocker text before you contact support.
