Audit history

Review current audit history behavior, availability, limits, and operating details for Slash Social.

Audit history records who changed settings, roles, and governed content actions across your organization. Each event ties an action, target, actor, and timestamp so you can answer accountability questions without opening individual posts.

What it includes

Audit history is part of the Settings work center. It requires the Team plan and is not included on Free or Starter.

The in-Slack viewer lets you page through audit rows with Previous and Next while the selected brand and any entry-point filters stay attached to the session. Scoped links can narrow the viewer by entity, action type, or date range.

Coverage includes settings changes, role edits, approvals, publishing events, and other governed actions your team performs in Slash Social. Advanced CSV, JSON, and SIEM-ready JSONL export is not available in the current public plan catalog.

Organization admins, organization owners, and billing owners can view audit history across brands. Brand owners and managers can view history for brands they manage. Other roles are denied server-side even if they invoke an audit action directly.

How to use it

  1. Open /social, switch to Settings, then Roles & Permissions under Billing/Admin.
  2. Choose View audit log from the governance area.
  3. Confirm the selected brand and any scope supplied by the entry point.
  4. Page through results with Previous and Next.
  5. Make a settings change you control, then confirm a matching row appears with your user and action details.

Use audit history when you need to verify who approved content, changed routing, or updated organization or brand settings.

Details

Each row shows the localized action, target, actor, and event time in the brand or organization timezone. Brand-scoped filters limit rows to the selected brand. Slash Social checks feature availability, your role, and the active organization and brand before it loads rows or moves between pages.

Advanced spreadsheet, JSON, or SIEM delivery is not currently sold. Audit retention follows Slash Social’s platform retention policy and is not a customer-configurable Advanced audit log control.
