Brand governance

Review current brand governance behavior, availability, limits, and operating details for Slash Social.

Brand governance keeps generated and human-authored content aligned with the active brand’s voice, accessibility requirements, and review controls. These settings provide shared defaults and validation rules; they do not publish content or replace human approval.

What it includes

Area Governed behavior
Brand profile Brand identity and the context used by creation, planning, replies, and reporting.
Voice and tone Guidance used by supported AI drafting and reply assistance.
Accessibility Requirements such as alt text for images and caption files for video when enforcement is enabled.
Permissions Roles that determine who can change settings, create content, review, approve, or manage billing.
Review controls Approval and audit settings that preserve accountable changes before publication.

Configuration is scoped to the organization or brand as indicated by the settings screen. Brand-scoped values apply only to content for that brand.

Configure a brand

  1. Open App Home, choose Settings, and select the brand you intend to manage.
  2. Open brand settings and confirm the brand identity and voice guidance.
  3. Open accessibility settings and choose the requirements that apply to your publishing workflow.
  4. Review roles and permissions so creators, reviewers, approvers, and managers have the intended access.
  5. Save each change and reopen the setting to confirm the new value persisted.
  6. Create or open a draft and verify that drafting guidance and approval checks reflect the updated policy.

The expected result is consistent guidance during creation and a clear validation message when a required accessibility item is missing. For example, approval can be blocked when a required alt-text value or caption file has not been provided.

Access and availability

Brand governance is included on the current public plans. Changing governance settings requires access to manage the organization or active brand. A creator may benefit from the saved policies without having permission to edit them.

Brand voice is guidance, not a guarantee that every generated sentence will be acceptable. Review generated copy before approval. Accessibility enforcement evaluates the configured requirements and the media attached to the item; platform-specific requirements can still add further constraints.

Troubleshooting

If a saved setting does not appear to apply:

  1. Confirm you edited the intended organization or brand scope.
  2. Reopen the setting and verify the value was saved.
  3. Refresh App Home, then reopen the draft or workflow that consumes the setting.
  4. Confirm a more specific campaign, pillar, platform, or account setting is not overriding the broader value.
  5. Follow Configuration change troubleshooting if the effective value is still stale.
